Christmas Eve at Red Rock Canyon

LAS_0621-1

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area just outside Las Vegas is my favorite Las Vegas-area destination. We stopped by on Wednesday afternoon of Christmas Eve for a quick drive around the 13-mile long scenic loop, when I captured this view from one of my favorite vista points.

A snow storm closed the entire 13-mile scenic drive loop the following day.

It’s World Giraffe Day!

IMG_7382-Edit-1-2

Celebrate earth’s #tallest mammal on the #shortest day of the year – it’s World Giraffe Day! 🦒

Giraffe populations has declined nearly 80% since the 1990s. It’s estimated that fewer than 100,000 individuals remain, making #giraffe one of the world’s most endangered large mammals.

#StandTallForGiraffe and help keep them from disappearing together! Oh yeah, giraffes love Christmas trees🎄
