To pass the time, I’m documenting the weirdest stuff I have in my house… Here’s Mr. Gasser, who reminds me of my auto shop teacher at Millikan High School, Mr. Schafer.

He was one of my favorite teachers, but strongly suggested that I might not make a very good auto mechanic. I’m glad I took his advice…

Alex Palou. 2026 Indy 500 pole sitter. Every time I start thinking the world is all bad, I pick up my camera, look through the lens and see people living, laughing, creating, and chasing light. Two eras of American performance, one legendary stage. 🇺🇸✈️🐎 I forgot to give you the recipe... Southern California delights: Jumping the lily pond at Balboa Park. Captured in stunning air-to-air photography, this beautifully crafted Wittman W-10 Tailwind soars proudly over the picturesque Avalon Harbor at Santa Catalina Island. In show jumping, horse and rider move as one—measuring distance, rhythm, trust, and split-second timing as they clear each fence with power and precision. Screaming across the waters of Avalon, “Patriotic Duty” captures the spirit of offshore powerboat racing that has thrilled spectators around Santa Catalina Island for decades. With style as bold as the bronze wheels and an attitude smoother than the paintwork, he already knows one thing — confidence isn’t learned, it’s built in.
