Made my first visit to The Miramar air show with some of you today. Wow! The 3-day air fest in San Diego has been held annually since 1953.
One word describes it…. UNBELIEVABLE! Be sure to add it to your bucket list – it’s unforgettable when the Blue Angels pilots fly over your head at it near mach speed!
Here are a few of my favorite snaps from today.
I photo-bombed my Mustang GT alongside this beautifully restored WWII fighter plane – officially called the Chance Vought F4U5N Corsair – during a visit earlier this week to the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar just north of San Diego.
It literally rolled out of the restoration hanger that morning, so it was pretty cool to get the shot. The plane’s completed restoration is being dedicated during a formal ceremony later today on the base before being put on display at the museum.
The big question – which do you think would win a race in the quarter mile?
